Professor Pat Dudgeon elected to second Academy

Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences Fellow Professor Pat Dudgeon AM has been elected to the Australian Academy of the Humanities.

Professor Dudgeon, from the Bardi people of the Kimberly, is a renowned leader in Aboriginal health and wellbeing, with a focus on the prevention of suicide. She was elected to AAHMS in 2021 and now joins the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 2024, for her groundbreaking work that “has reshaped psychology in Australia and worldwide, creating tangible system change and empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.”
