Professor Eapen is a leading clinical academic in child psychiatry. Her research program has focussed on neurodevelopmental disorders – most especially autism – covering early identification and integrated care to clinical characterisation and intervention, biopsychosocial determinants and social impact. Moreover, as a clinician researcher, she’s demonstrated the ability to translate research findings into practice and policy applications, including developing service delivery frameworks for early identification of developmental and child mental health problems. She has also assumed many state, national and international leadership roles in her field, is a highly sought-after speaker, and is a respected and effective supervisor, mentor and role model.
