Professor Neale is a world authority in skin cancer, vitamin D, and balancing the harms and benefits of sun exposure. She initiated and led the D-Health Trial, one of only two mega-trials of vitamin D supplementation worldwide and one of Australia’s largest-ever preventive trials with over 21,000 participants supplemented for 5 years. D-Health has made a major contribution to policy and practice internationally. She leads a United Nations Health Working Group and is a member of an Expert Group for the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation. She is also recognised internationally as an expert in the epidemiology of pancreatic cancer.
