Professor Kistler is a clinician-scientist who established and heads the Heart Rhythm Departments at the Alfred Hospital and Baker Heart Institute with dual Professorships at University of Melbourne and Monash. He has supervised/supervising 26 PhD fellows, has 280 peer-reviewed publications with 20,000 citations and h-index of 73. He is a current recipient of an NHMRC investigatorship (2023-2027) and has obtained over $5,000,000 research support from the NHMRC, National Heart Foundation and CSANZ. He is a world leader whose research has been published in the world’s leading international journals (NEJM and JAMA) and incorporated into guidelines and translated into clinical practice.
