Professor Julian Trollor leads an internationally recognised translational research program to reduce health inequalities experienced by people with intellectual and developmental disability. His work has been transformative, revealing and addressing gaps in health service access, effectiveness and policy; bringing the health needs of people with intellectual and developmental disability from obscurity to mainstream. His research and advocacy were pivotal to the health-related findings and recommendations of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (DRC), development of National Health Roadmaps in Intellectual Disability and Autism, and investment in the National Disability Data Asset.
