Gary Anderson, is a Pharmacologist and Immunologist who has over 230 highly cited papers. Anderson combines genetic disease models and clinical studies to discover molecular mechanisms of lung disease and make new medicines, including four medicines used clinically worldwide. He conceived the endotype concept of disease. He founded, and leads the CURE Asthma Initiative. He is a recipient of the TSANZ Research Medal and ERS President’s Award for his contribution to lung research, and a Fellow of TSANZ, ERS and ATS.
