Citation on Election
Professor Dan Siskind’s global contributions to treatment resistant schizophrenia, antipsychotic-induced metabolic disorders, and physical health co-morbidities research are evidenced through receipt of over $59M in competitive funding, and authorship of 250+ publications which have shaped 234 policies globally including WHO and OECD guidelines. His professional leadership is exemplified through research mentoring; supervising PhD, registrar and medical student projects; and representation on health service committees driving health reform. His development of an adaptive schizophrenia trial platform and consumer reference group will further sustain his ability to improve outcomes, reduce disparities, and undertake public health promotion and advocacy for people with schizophrenia.
