Professor Dan Lubman is an internationally renowned expert in addiction, with extensive contributions to research, clinical care, and policy in Australia. As Director of Turning Point and the Monash Addiction Research Centre, he has led pioneering studies on the impact of alcohol, drugs, and gambling on brain function and mental health, developed and trialled innovative clinical and early intervention responses, as well as established a world-first national health surveillance system. Professor Lubman’s work directly informs public health policy, clinical innovation and health system reform, and supports national advocacy campaigns to address stigma and the adoption of evidence-based policies and practice.
