Professor Belinda Parker is an international leader in breast and prostate cancer research. Her original contributions on the molecular basis of metastasis to bone, a distressing complication that greatly limits patients’ lifespan, have led to new practice-changing clinical trials and partnerships to develop clinical biomarkers for precision cancer therapy. Her award winning multidisciplinary projects have led to competitive grants and continuous fellowship funding, publications in top tier journals including Nature, and commercial opportunities, including the spin out company AlleSense for which she is cofounder and Chief Scientific Officer. Professor Parker co-leads Peter Mac’s Cancer Evolution and Metastasis Program.
