Fellows elected to the Royal Society

Congratulations to Professor Jamie Rossjohn FRS FAA FAHMS and Professor Carola Vinuesa FRS FAA FAHMS on their recent election as Fellows of the Royal Society, one of the world’s most prestigious scientific bodies, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to science.

This recognition is a tremendous achievement and recognises Professor Rossjohn and Professor Vinuesa’s outstanding achievements in global health and medical science.

Professor Vinuesa has been recognised for her work on T-cells, antibody responses, and whole genome sequencing, while Professor Rossjohn is recognised for his contribution to the understanding of the molecular basis underpinning infectious disease and vertebrate host response.

Professor Vinuesa and Professor Rossjohn were among 51exceptional scientists elected as Fellows of the Royal Society this year. Ten Foreign Members and one Honorary Fellow were also recognised.

The Academy would like to extend warmest congratulations to Professor Vinuesa and Professor Rossjohn on their remarkable achievements.
