Congratulations to our Academy Fellows recognised in the King’s Birthday 2026 Honours List for their outstanding contributions to health and medical sciences in Australia. 

 

Companion of the Order of Australia (AC)

Professor William Rawlinson: eminent service to the medical sciences as a virologist, to clinical research and education, and to national and international public health.

Officer of the Order of Australia (AO)

The late Professor Dr Katie Allen: distinguished service to medical research and to the people and Parliament of Australia.
Professor Michael Berk: distinguished service to epidemiology, preventative medicine, and mental health.
Professor Timothy Davis: distinguished service to medicine as a consultant physician and to clinical research into diabetes and infectious diseases.
Professor Valsamma Eapen: distinguished service to psychiatry and child and adolescent mental health.
Professor Elizabeth Elliott: distinguished service to paediatric medicine, women’s health, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Professor Jozef Gecz: distinguished service to genomic research, child health, and neurodevelopmental disability.
Professor Michael Roberts: distinguished service to pharmaceutical science and the advancement of topical drug delivery.
Professor H. Peter Soyer: distinguished service to dermatology and the diagnosis of skin cancer.
