ABOUT
The Workshop
The 2026 Mentorship Workshop will focus on strengthening researchers’ capacity to engage with policy and decision-makers. Participants will hear from speakers with firsthand experience in policymaking, explore real-world pathways for influencing policy, and gain practical insights into what effective engagement looks like. Through interactive and hands-on activities, the workshop will build participants’ skills and confidence in clearly and persuasively communicating their research to policymakers.
This fully catered workshop is a fantastic opportunity to network with other Academy Mentees, as well as Academy Fellows, and is followed by an informal drinks reception.
The Mentorship Workshop precedes the 2026 AAHMS Annual Meeting, which you are also invited to join. More information is available on the AAHMS website – please note that this event requires separate registration.
Please note: This workshop is part of our Mentorship Program for Advancing Research Leaders. Workshops under the Inclusive Leadership Mentoring Program take place separately.
